Living abroad and interested in studying with ENIEG Oxford? Find out how online learning, examinations, defense and University of Bamenda certification work for international students.
Are you living outside Cameroon and interested in studying for a degree online with ENIEG Oxford Teacher Training College?
We receive many enquiries from students living in countries such as the UAE, Senegal, and other countries around the world who want to study from abroad without having to relocate to Cameroon.
This guide explains how our online programs work, how you access your courses, how you communicate with lecturers, how examinations are organized, and where your certificate comes from.
Yes.
Our online programs allow students to study from anywhere in the world. You can access your course materials and continue your studies without being physically present on campus for your regular learning activities.
Whether you are in the UAE, Senegal, Europe, the United States or another country, you can follow your program online.
The school provides course materials through the official school app, allowing students to access their academic content wherever they are.
At the beginning of each semester, your course materials are made available through the school app.
Students are expected to go through the materials for each course and complete their learning according to the academic requirements of the program.
You are not left alone to study without support.
Each course has a dedicated forum where students can ask questions about the course material.
If you do not understand a particular topic, you can post your question in the forum either as text or voice.
The lecturer responsible for that course will respond and provide clarification or further explanation.
This makes it possible for students outside Cameroon to interact with their lecturers and get academic support while studying remotely.
For students studying from outside Cameroon, examinations are conducted under the requirements of the University of Bamenda, our mentor university.
The university requires examinations to be properly supervised and does not permit students to simply take their examinations online from home.
Previously, students coming from abroad could have their first-semester examinations, second-semester examinations and defense organized as separate events.
However, because the number of students studying online has increased, we are working toward making the process more convenient for international students.
The objective is to organize the examinations and defense within one designated period, allowing students to travel to Cameroon and complete the required academic activities within approximately one week.
Where possible, the examination period may be scheduled around a public holiday or holiday period to make it easier for students who are working abroad to obtain permission from their employers and travel to Cameroon.
The exact examination and defense schedule will be communicated to students by the school.
We understand that travelling from Dubai to Cameroon specifically for examinations can be expensive and inconvenient.
Because of the increasing number of students joining our online programs from Dubai, we are also exploring the establishment of an approved examination centre in the UAE.
The purpose is to allow eligible students in the UAE to sit their examinations at an approved physical examination centre rather than travelling to Cameroon for every examination.
Where this option is available, examination papers will be securely handled and transferred to Cameroon after the examination.
The papers will then follow the required academic process for marking and processing through the appropriate university structures.
This is one of the most common questions we receive.
The reason is academic integrity.
The University of Bamenda has strict requirements concerning examinations and does not permit the official examinations for these programs to simply be written online from a student’s home.
This means that although your learning can take place online, the official examination process must follow the requirements established by the university.
This is designed to protect the credibility and integrity of the qualification.
This is another important question.
ENIEG Oxford does not issue the degree certificate.
Oxford provides the training and facilitates the learning process, while the program is supervised under the academic authority of the University of Bamenda, our mentor university.
The University of Bamenda is responsible for the academic supervision and issuance of the certificate according to the requirements of the program.
Your certificate is therefore not an Oxford certificate.
The certificate issued upon successful completion of the program is a University of Bamenda certificate.
It does not simply carry the name “Oxford” as the issuing institution.
The qualification is issued under the authority of the University of Bamenda and follows the university’s academic requirements.
Students studying through the Oxford pathway are therefore not receiving a separate “Oxford-only” certificate.
The important thing is the institution responsible for the qualification and the academic requirements attached to it.
