Each year, the Ministry of Secondary Education (MINESEC) launches and organizes the competitive entrance examination into both government and private teacher training colleges in Cameroon.
This competitive Entrance Examination is meant for Cameroonians who hold the GCE advanced level GENERAL and who are wishing to be trained as both primary and nursery school teachers. at the end of their training the obtain the teachers grade one certificate commonly known as the CAPIEMP.
To take part in the examination, you must first choose a recognized teacher training institution where you wish to be trained. Oxford Teacher Training (ENIEG DU WOURI) is one of the few legal institutions that are authorized to run this programme.

To apply for the 2026 CAPIEMP Entrance Examination, follow these steps:
Applying through Oxford Teacher Training is simple. We don’t just train you after admission. We also guide you through the entire entrance examination registration process.

After your application has been verified and approved by the Ministry of Secondary Education, an examination slip will be issued.
This slip contains your examination details and must be presented on Thursday, 3 September 2026 when you sit for the CAPIEMP Entrance Examination.
Once the Ministry publishes the results, Oxford Teacher Training will receive the list of successful candidates.
The results will also be shared in the official school WhatsApp group that you are added to during registration.
Successful candidates will then receive the date for the orientation meeting, where they will be introduced to the programme, lecturers, school regulations, and the official start of classes.

This deadline is strict. Incomplete or late application files will not be accepted.
After the entrance examination results are published, the Ministry of Secondary Education will transfer the records of successful candidates to their selected teacher training institutions, including Oxford Teacher Training, where they will begin their two-year CAPIEMP training.
Once you are successful in the entrance examination, you will complete your two-year CAPIEMP training at Oxford Teacher Training.
